Multi-pro Tile Backer Board, previously known as Moistsure has launched a new sizing, which includes 9mm thickness at 1200mm x 800mm available to order. Other sizes remain the same including: 6 x 1200 x 800mm, 6 x1220 x 800mm and 12 x 1200 x 800mm. The new size: 9mm tilebacker is a light weight option, which is easier to carry up multiple storeys, used for medium-high performance – when extreme performance isn’t required. This board would suit most domestic tiling requirements at an ultra keen price-point.
Normally Gypsum and Plywood products are commonly used as a tiling substrate but are susceptible to deterioration upon moisture penetration. When applied as recommended, Multi-Pro Tiler Backer is an innovative solution to moisture related problems in construction. Multi-pro Tile Backer Board is a water resistant backer board which doesn’t swell, rot or degrade over time and can accept a number of finishes, including wall and floor tiles. For this reason the Multi-pro Tile Backer Board are typically used for internal wet areas, kitchen, bathroom and tile backer board.
The boards go through a unique cold fusion manufacturing process, which produces less CO2 emissions creating a lower environmental impact and establishing a sustainability in the construction industry. Muti-pro Tile Backer Board achieves its superior strength and flexibility by the introduction of two layers of alkaline resistant glass fibre mesh. Consistent high quality of the product is maintained and monitored through a sophisticated digitally controlled process to ensure a superior finished board always reaches our commitment to quality assurance.
Resistant fixing guide recommends that the Multi-pro Tile Backer Board should be fixed on with Stainless Steel screws, this should be chosen at all times. Screws should be attached commencing at the centre and working outwards towards the edges. Multi-pro Tile Backer boards can be attached to either timber or steel studwork, depending on the nature of the job.
Boards should be fitted roughside out/up to receive tile adhesive or smooth side out to receive paint finish. The boards can also be custom cut using the ‘snap and score’ method.
