Premier Inn

The new Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre at Great Yarmouth has been designed to achieve a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) standard of Very Good. The Premier Inn Great Yarmouth is an eighty-bedroom hotel with adjacent 200 cover Brewers Fayre restaurant. The building is a new build on an existing brown field site built over 5 storeys & has a 125 space car park.

There were steps taken during construction to reduce the environmental impacts to meet the specifications set out by BREEAM regulations. Working in accordance with RG Carter environmental policy and checklists, along with a mandatory construction phase health and safety plans, site waste management plans and the considerate constructors scheme good practices, the project followed all necessary requirements. The Multi-Rend board was chosen to allow the specification of a breathable, non-combustible boar to be met.

Resistant’s Multi-Rend board has the ability to be cut via the score and snap method sped up the installation process and the usable weight of the boards meant there was no issue lifting them to required heights.

With the development of the Great Yarmouth Premier Inn, there will be 20 jobs created and Whitbread; the owners of Premier Inn, predict that the hotel will bring £5.9 million to the local economy.
